Made in Britain. Supporting British Jobs.
Every purchase is a choice. Price matters, especially when household budgets are stretched, but the value of a product goes beyond its price tag. At Just Jigsaws Ltd, we believe British manufacturing is worth supporting, protecting and celebrating.
Supporting Jobs Throughout the Supply Chain
A British-made product creates demand not only for factory workers but also for packaging firms, transport providers, designers, engineers and material suppliers. When manufacturing work disappears, the impact can extend far beyond one factory.
Strengthening Local Communities
Manufacturing provides employment, practical skills and opportunities for future generations. Our family business is rooted in Alfreton, Derbyshire, and built on decades of traditional craftsmanship. Supporting local makers helps sustain those skills and jobs.
Keeping Economic Activity in Britain
UK manufacturers contribute through wages, taxes, investment and purchases from other businesses. Their employees spend money in the wider economy too. Imported goods also support British retailers and logistics companies, but domestically made products more directly sustain manufacturing here.
Protecting Craftsmanship
Our wooden educational puzzles are handmade using traditional techniques. Skilled work takes time to develop and can be difficult to rebuild once lost. Buying British-made goods helps preserve specialist manufacturing knowledge.
Transparency and Supply Chains
Working with a British manufacturer can make communication, quality discussions and factory visits easier. Shorter transport routes can sometimes reduce shipping impacts, although the full environmental footprint also depends on materials, energy and production methods.
Value Is More Than the Cheapest Price
Durability, craftsmanship, safety, repairability and service all matter. A well-made wooden puzzle enjoyed repeatedly can offer excellent long-term value. Sometimes spending a little more supports the industries and communities we want to keep.
Our Message
For over 50 years, Just Jigsaws has been part of Britain’s manufacturing story. We are proud of our family business, our workforce and our handmade wooden puzzles. When you can, buy local and buy British: it helps sustain jobs, skills and the future of UK manufacturing.
